Fifth Grade Beginning Band

Welcome Fifth Graders! You've come to the right place. Getting the Fifth Grade Beginning Band up & going takes a few steps. Here is the order of those steps:

• Second week of school - Mr. Renchen comes around to each class to talk briefly about Band.

• The next week - Mr. Renchen meets individually with each class and "demos" each instrument so you can hear what they sound like. Begin thinking of what instrument you want to play. The choices are: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, or percussion.

• Week after that - Mr. Renchen meets with any students interested in joining to answer questions, etc.

• Tuesday, September 13 - Band Registration Night takes place between 4:00pm-7:30pm in the elementary music room (you & your parent will come for 10 minutes to finalize what instrument you will play in band)

• The very next week, the instruments get delivered and then we get to play them!!
